 CYCAD SUNRISE VS PROPERTY DEVELOPMENT

I draw this cycad sunrise curtain  in protest of more homemaker villages and property development.

Across the road from my home is a large parcel of land. I understand this land to be part of the Kulaluk land claim. It is beautiful and wild, and I often admire the plants and animals that I see there, recognising that a space like this in suburbia is unique. I have read that this site is of cultural significance for Larrakia and Tiwi. Recently a new fence went up around the perimeter.  This was recognised by local community members that a development proposal is in the pipeline. I have heard it is going to be another homemaker village. I would like to see this natural space protected and cared for. I sent a couple of letters to the NT government’s Development Assessment Services to question the development.
